Handling the Pollen and Smoke

The Willamette Valley is quite possibly one of the most beautiful areas to live. We have green lush trees all year round, mild temperatures that rarely go above 100 degrees, or below 20 degrees. A variety of beautiful, colorful Wildflowers that can be seen everywhere. We love being and Oregonian. The beauty is what inspired our logo.

Unfortunately,  all of this beauty creates a very strong pollen count in the spring and it seems like every summer we have a couple weeks of smokey weather that can slow down even the most fit person.

Proper care of the HVAC system in your house can help to make the indoor air quality enjoyable and  breathable.

Changing, or cleaning the filters is the easiest way to clean the air indoors. Another way is to vacuum, Allergens fall from the air and stick to the flooring, these are then kicked up by people or pets walking across the room.

Check on your HVAC system for what type of filter or even how to change a filter on Youtube.

Another tip is to keep the windows closed on the days that the air quality index is high. Enjoy the cleaner air indoors and minimize going outside during these allergy and smoke seasons.

Enjoy being and Oregonian and take advantage of the beauty we have around us.
